. . . but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Bald Eagle SoaringWhen I was little, my sister and I used to run to the local mom-and-pop grocery store, a block away.  And I do mean we ran.  She is 8 1/2 years older than I.  She took a firm grip of my hand and we would race down the sidewalk to the store.  I could not run fast, but she pulled me along much faster than I could go by myself so that I felt like I was flying.

Too often I find myself trying to run alone.  A big mistake.  Although God gives us gifts, talents and abilities, and expects us to use them, we are not supposed to do it solo.  Instead, we need to put our hand in His and let him pull us along.

It is not my ability, but my response to God’s ability, that counts.  Corrie ten Boom
